William M. Ordway

A graduate of Vanderbilt University and Emory University School of Law and a former U.S. Army officer, Bill Ordway is a founding partner in ORDWAY LAW GROUP, LLC. For the past 23 years, he has aggressively and compassionately represented clients in family law, divorce, custody, and support matters. He has been an instructor at the Emory Law School trial advocacy program and also has extensive experience in business litigation.

For the past several years, and again in 2017, Mr. Ordway has been named by Atlanta Magazine as a “Georgia Super Lawyer.” His selection was based upon peer evaluations by other lawyers and judges throughout the state. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest lawyer rating of “AV-Preeminent”, as well as attorney rating service AVVO’s highest legal rating of “Superb”. He has been named by Georgia Trend Magazine as a “Legal Elite”, and is currently ranked in the top 5% of family law attorneys in the state of Georgia.

Bill Ordway has represented several high profile clients. He and his clients have been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, WSB-TV and WXIA-TV in Atlanta, and WLS-TV in Chicago. He is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, Court of Appeals and United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia. He is also an active member of the American, Georgia, and Atlanta Bar Associations, and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He and his wife, Joy, a writer, live in Atlanta.

Joy Helms

Joy Helms is a native of Louisiana, is a graduate of McNeese State University and has done graduate work at the University of Texas. She is our firm's certified Divorce Mediator. She is also a social worker and has more than 20 years of experience helping families in crisis. Ms. Helms understands that divorce affects every family member, not just husband and wife, and addresses these challenges in mediation.

Ms. Helms is a former U.S. Navy officer and has lived and travelled all over the world. This experience has proven very beneficial in working with the firm's diverse clientele.

Jonathan Warren Brezel

Jonathan Brezel is an associate at the Ordway Law Group, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Brezel's practice focuses primarily on family law including cases regarding divorce, custody, child support, legitimization contempt, and modifications. As a domestic relations attorney, Mr. Brezel focuses on helping his clients through the most difficult times of their lives. Mr. Brezel strives to practice in an efficient and positive style, while still striving to obtain the best result for his clients and their families.

Mr. Brezel grew up in Marietta, Georgia, where he attended George Walton Comprehensive High School. He attended the University of Florida, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Business Administration. After graduating, Mr. Brezel returned to Georgia to attend law school at Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Brezel clerked for Judge Edgar Ennis of the Bibb County Superior Court, where he observed a large number of domestic relations cases and obtained insight on how the Judges handle cases on a daily basis. In 2016 and 2017, Mr. Brezel was named by Atlanta Magazine as a 2016 and 2017 "Rising Star." His selection was based upon peer evaluations by other lawyers and judges throughout the state. He currently serves as the Co-Chair of Georgia Young Lawyer's Division Family Law Committee, and is a board member on the Family Law Executive Committee for the State of Georgia. Mr. Brezel has also spoken at continuing education seminars on various topics regarding Georgia laws pertaining to domestic relations issues. When he is not practicing law, Jonathan enjoys watching sports, exercising, cooking, and traveling.

Erin Fox

Erin Fox

Erin Fox began her career as a paralegal in the fall of 2007, after receiving her certification as a Paralegal through Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining Ordway Law Group, she worked for a highly rated family law firm in the Atlanta area. Her passion for family law developed as a result of her experiences from her own divorce. As a divorcee, and a single mother to three children, Erin personally understands the fears and uncertainty that clients are experiencing during this stressful and confusing time in their life.

In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time camping with her children and dogs, volunteering with the Special Olympics, horseback riding, and fostering dogs with special needs.

Ginger King

Ginger King began her career in the legal field in 1997, and has extensive experience in Family Law and Litigation Support. Prior to joining Ordway Law Group, she worked for a highly rated law firm in the Metro Atlanta area. Her past experiences as an office manager, legal assistant, paralegal, discovery clerk, and office assistant have culminated to make her an integral part of our team. With her warm, caring personality and robust skill set, Ginger has a unique ability to meet the needs of our diverse client base, while also providing support for the attorneys in the firm.

Ginger is a proud member of the National Association for Legal Professionals (NALS), and has served as the Membership Director for the Cobb County Legal Professionals Association for the past two years. A native of Atlanta, Ginger enjoys local cuisine, camping, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and rescued dogs and cats.
